It was bittersweet to leave the wonderful little daycare/school that we have attended for the last 4.5 years! Everyone (parents, children & teachers) said tearful goodbyes August 7, the last day!
And . . . now we begin a new chapter in our book of SCHOOL! Nicholas is attending a wonderful, private school close to our home. There are 8 children in his 1st grade class and he is doing just great! It was a transition with adjustment to a "real" school environment. He is one of the "little ones" again with the school going all the way through to 12th grade. He is wearing a uniform (he is just sooo cute in it!), taking his lunch everyday, no more afternoon naps and . . . doing HOMEWORK! But, my little guy is just doing great!
Here are some "New School" pictures!

Unpacking new backpack & uniforms!
School Supplies!

And . . . another one, just because . . . it was too cute to leave out!

Nancy, I'm so enjoying following your blog! I too am single and am actually deciding between Russia & Pakistan myself!! I'm researching both a great deal, but it is such a hard decision. My fear with Pakistan is the newness of it, my fear with Russia is getting a referral!!! Any words of wisdom?
Nicholas looks absolutely adorable! I've been living in England for 3 years (just returning home now - next month in fact to adopt) and the school uniforms are just so sweet & here 99% of schools have them!
Is it OK if I add you to my blogroll?
Calico Sky - Thank you for the kind compliments! I love to write & my blog is such good thearapy! Of course you can add me to your blogroll. I will do the same.
My main advice to new PAP is Flexibility & Faith. Good luck with you country decision. I actually have a dossier in each country (yes, you can do that!)
Email me & we can visit further about both Russia & Pakistan adoption processes.
