The last 2 days (Mon/Tue) have been a Pakistani holiday, 20/21 Sep Eid al-Fitr (End of Ramadan). So, all the government offices and the attorney office have been closed. Today, Wed, the offices reopened and Sadeem and the attorney had to make up for lost time over the 2-day holiday. For the court process, somewhat poor planning on my part (I thought Ramadan would be totally over!), but it has been wonderful to have 3 days just to hang out and bond with Sweet Pea! However Sadeem and the attorney have been "double timing" it today to maintain the 30-day visa duration. Pakistan is now issuing just 30 day visa to Americans, so we have to finish within 30 days. We will meet with the attorney this evening and go over the final documents and process of registration of the documents that will take place on Thursday. We will have to appear at the court house to file the documents.
Since we cannot walk around without Sadeem, we have been sequestered within the guest house grounds and can't walk around unescorted! Sadeem is just being cautious. After all, our blonde/blue features do scream "American" and then we are carrying around a obviously Pakistani baby! Somewhat obvious for questioning.
Yes, we are sort of climbing the walls by now! Sweet Pea naps a lot, so the Internet helps. Uppa D works during the mornings while I play and tend to Sweet Pea. Then I get my time! I read my emails and try to stay connected with friends/family via Skype. We are doing just great!
Anyway, during naps I spent some time putting together a travel journey montage to Sweet Pea in Pictures. I hope you enjoy it!
