Pack the Bags, Mama! . . . Pakistan!!!

I can't believe it!
I can't believe it!
I can't believe it!!!

We are going to Pakistan to bring home Sweet Pea!

I recevied additional information last week on Sweet Pea and everything is now a definate green light to move forward with the adoption from Pakistan. Yes, it has all worked out (thank you God! And, thank you LH/GAS!). We are finally GOING, in 1.5 weeks. Yes - you heard it correct - we leave Saturday, 9/19, just 10 days from now.

The 2 dossiers are completed - Court & Embassy !
The Visas are issued !
The Airline Flights are booked !

We will be in Islamabad, Pakistan for around 4 weeks. Our return flight is 10/15. Since we are the pilot family for this program through my agency (Lighthouse Adoptions), we don't know exactly when we will be returning, but around 3-4 weeks should be enough time to get everything processed.

Now for the home front - getting everything ready to go! This is actually a little more overwhelming than all the dossier paper chasing. Nicky is sooo excited about his baby sister. Preparing my little guy for 3.5 weeks without Mama or Uppa D is challenging (more challenging for Mama than for Nicky! LOL!) Oh how I will miss him !!!

But . . . what a blessing we will have - our baby girl - Sweet Pea!

Yippee, Skippee!!!!!

You have certainly become the poster child for all good things to those who wait!!! Congrats to you and little sweet pea! She has no idea how lucky she is to have a dedicated mama like you and a fantastic brother waiting at home. And you, a lucky mama to bring home this little precious girl to make your life and home complete. I can't wait for pictures and her official unveiling with name and journey stories. Travel fast, safe and with as few bumps as possible! We'll be waiting!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

That is fantastic. I am a new reader to your blog but I'm a LH family also. We brought home our daughter from Moscow last November. If we weren't having to move overseas we would have loved to adopt a child from Pakistan so I can't wait to read all about your experience!

Congrats again and I wish you safe and happy travels!
