Beyond the Guest House walls . . .

It's Sunday and we are going a bit stir crazy . . .

I was hoping we could go to church this morning and experience a Pakistani Christian church. But, Sadeem was not available to take us, so we relaxed and stayed in the guest house. I mentioned this to Sadeem and was assured that next Sunday we could take in a Pakistani Christian church!

Actually, we do feel a bit exhausted from the 2 days of court we had (Thur 24 & Fri 25). So, Uppa D, Sweet Pea & I have slept quite a bit the last couple of days. In fact, if not for bottles and diapers, we would not have stirred. LOL! I guess the intense court proceedings with not really knowing what to expect until it all happened, along with the intense heat of both days (have I mentioned how HOT it is here!) have zapped our energy levels. Even Sweet Pea has slept a great deal today.

However, Sadeem has promised that he would be available in the evening to take us on an outing. Mama's persistence has eventually paid off, LOL! So, we are to be ready at 6:00 p.m. YEAH!

Our Outing: (later in the day . . .)
We had a wonderful time on our outing this evening. Nanny Kathlene accompanied us. This was the 1st time since Monday, 21st (Gotcha Day) that the nanny has seen Sweet Pea. She immediately latched on to Sweet Pea (this woman just loves this child!). Sweet Pea immediately recognized nanny's voice and just smiled and smiled at her. Kathlene couldn't get over how Sweet Pea has grown, in just a week! Of course, I savor and relish in the knowledge of this love between the two of them and I love to watch them together.

Our outing was just wonderful (Thank You, Sadeem!). We were taken on a tour of the Islamabad mountains (I'll get the name from Sadeem later & fill in here). It was a wonderful car drive up to the summit and then back down. We watched the sun set over the city of Islamabad (beautiful!). Then we stopped at a beautiful restaurant and had a lovely Pakistani dinner of Arabian chicken, grilled chicken with yogurt sauce, mixed vegetable salad, rice, flat bread, apple juice coolers and Sprite! It tasted so wonderful. And . . . the best part of it all . . . we were beyond the guest house walls!!!!!

It was so nice and cool in the hills/mountains! I wished I had dressed Sweet Pea a little bit warmer and was so thankful that I had brought a couple of blankets along, we definitely needed them for her.

What a lovely night we had! Here are a few pictures . . . Enjoy!

Love to ALL!
