An Amazing Child . . .

It is in the early morning hours - Sweet Pea just finished a bottle and fallen back to sleep! But, of course, Mama is wide awake. So, thought I would give an update on Sweet Pea!

This child is PERFECT! She is just the best little baby! You can really tell that not only did her foster family nanny meet all of her needs, but the nanny showered love on her as well. Sweet Pea is just the most content, peaceful baby. An ANGEL!

Sadeem (director of GAS Pakistan agency) and I have had many conversations about the children and he has explained to me how his foster care system is maintained. Truly the man has the best heart for children. He believes every need of the child should be met 1st. So, he only places 1 child in a foster family so they can receive the individual attention for their health and well being. Also, it gives a Christian Pakistani family needed income. Since the Christians in Pakistan are usually very needy, this gives them needed support as well. It truly is a win-win situation for everyone involved. Sadeem could pool the children into 1-2 foster families, but he believes that is not in the best interests of all involved.

I personally think this shows great insight and wisdom on his part. And, it shows the heart of a man that is trying to make a difference in the lives of his Pakistani people.

I thank God for such a AWESOME gift! Tears of joy and thankfulness roll down. I can't believe the MIRACLE of this journey.

Just remember - when you finally "give up" what you think your plans are and step out on faith -- You realize that God really does have everything in place according to His plan -- And, there is no better place, no more satisfying place, no more complete place to be than that!

I have so enjoyed following your journey. We adopted with Lighthouse from Uzbekistan so went through a lot of similar feelings being the "test case". We went a bit stir crazy as well being in the "compound" as we called our guest house. It's so worth it though!! The internet saved my life, feeling connected. Cannot wait to see pictures of your daughter. You are so lucky that she had such great care and is so young.
