Mama filling out the paperwork . . .
Paying the medical bill . . . 2,000 rupees!
Weight - 12.5 pounds (5.6 kg)!
Length - 22 inches (56 cm)! (I think this was what I was told!)
The wonderful doctor that examined Sweet Pea - A great experience!
While we waited for the final medical exam/report, we visited the market . . . for diapers and formula for the adoption agency (GAS). Sadeem is daily getting calls about available children . . . from Faisalabad (SE - SP's b.city) and from Karachi (far south). Sadeem has placed about 8 children in foster homes since we have been here. Most are under 12 month old, 3 are between 2 - 3 years old. There is a great need for baby supplies . . . so I knew that was a donation that I wanted to give to such a wonderful organization. Believe me, it is the least I can do for a wonderful man trying to make a difference for the Christian Pakistani orphans. We will visit the market again a couple more times for diapers/formula for this cause!

We then went back to the medical center at 3:00 p.m. and picked up the sealed envelope with the medical exam/report. We cannot open it, only a US embassy official can do that. I would love to have a copy to read, but I'll get it, eventually, when I apply for Sweet Pea's G-884 (Return of original documents).
Today's Adoption Goal! . . . Yeah!
So, to date, we have done as much adoption work as possible without a court ruling. We have Sweet Pea's passport, new photos & embassy medical exam report. All we need now . . . is the court's ruling for Permanent Guardianship. Once we have that, in a couple of days (10/3), we can schedule the US embassy appointment to begin applying for Sweet Pea's visa! All is moving along . . . even with the delay of the court hearing!
We ended our day's outings with Sadeem treating us to an early dinner! It was a wonderful treat . . . thank you, Sadeem!
Love to ALL!
