Hello, from Dubai!!!

We made it! 18 hours of flight time so far. We are feeling good & got plenty of rest on the flight (a good sleeping pill helped!). It is about 8:45 p.m. here in Dubai.

We did have a small mishap before even leaving Tulsa - we missed our flight!!!! We got to the gate 5 minutes before departure & the plane had already left. They said they had paged us, but we didn't show (& we didn't hear the page). Mama was taking as long as possible to be with Nicholas before I had to leave him for 4 weeks, so . . . my bad! :)

They did get us on the next flight (4:30 p.m.), but we had to run from concourse B to concourse D. They said our luggage wouldn't make it, but once we got at the Emirates counter, they reopened the plane, found out luggage, let it go 1st through the security scanners & got it on the plane! Everyone was so accomadating & kind about it. I think they could see the anxiety in my eyes!

Anyway we are currently relaxing in the Dubai airport on loungers waiting for the flight to Islamabad.

It was really been a wonderful flight (after we finally got started)!
