For the criminal charges in this case, there are 4 individuals charged.
1. Sadeem Shargeel – Director of Global Adoption Services (GAS) and also the director of United Christian Orphans, a Pakistan NGO. He was arrested 10/14/2009 by FIA at the US Embassy.
2. Pastor Afzal Bhatti – Pastor of Great Gospel Church (Islamabad, Pakistan) who was the alleged social worker for the alleged "orphanage". He was arrested 10/14/2009 by FIA at the US Embassy.
3. Pastor Salim Masih - Pastor of Episcopal Church of Pakistan (Faisalabad, Pakistan). He was arrested 10/20/2009 by FIA in a child trafficking raid in Faisalabad, Pakistan.
4. Tariq Masih – The alleged birth father (it is confirmed he is not Marina's birth father). He was arrested shortly after the arrests of Sadeem Shargeel and Pastor Afzal Bhatti. I personally met Tariq several times during the court proceedings.
The court hearing is scheduled for next Monday, March 15, 2010. (Islamabad is 12 hours ahead CST zone US). Please keep the court hearing and these individuals in you thoughts and prayers.
My ethical spirit of humanity grieves for the corrupt decisions these men have made. Over the last 5 months, their lives have been very, very difficult in a Pakistani jail. All I can do is pray for their physical safety and . . . swift Justice!
