We made it - PAKISTAN! . . .

We are HERE, in Islamabad, Pakistan!!!

It is such an adventure! Kind of reminds me of Russia, in a way - lots of motorbikes on the highway, horns honking. People standing & waiting for the bus (and like Russia, it seems that anything can be a bus!)

Can you say HOT! We walked off the plane onto the tarmac to take the shuttle to the airport & we just about melted! We are from Oklahoma & we know what heat is, but this is some kind of HOT! Needless to say, all the "smells" are very interesting!

We had no problems with immigration/customs, except that Mama didn't fill out the 2nd form needed to enter the country. Somehow, on the plane the flight attendant didn't give me that one & I was in the restroom when she left it in my seat. I didn't know there were 2 forms to fill out until we were in line for customs. I actually held up the line for a few minutes, but everyone was very polite to the "American"!

Sadeem & Sheraz (GAS) were waiting for us at the airport. After an hour wait, they were beginning to worry when we didn't show up. We had trouble getting our last bag to come through baggage claim. We waited probably 45 minutes for it to come through the baggage carousel. We were beginning to think that it was "lost" (Mama & Sweet Pea had no worries, since it was Uppa D's bag. LOL!)

So, we just arrived at our guest house & we are settling in. We were just delivered our bottled water & lunch will be served shortly. Then we will rest some.

In about 2 hours, Sweet Pea will arrive with her nanny! I just can't wait to see her & hold her. I'm so excited that I know I won't sleep a wink!

After 3.5 years, only 2 more hours . . . then finally, my little Girl!!!

(G'ma - give my Nicky a big hug & kiss. I miss him so much!)

:)

(Uppa D says hello to everyone!)

So happy you have arrived without much problem. Sounds like China, where they bring your child to your hotel. Will you get to keep her and how long are you in country for was it 3 weeks? Thanks for keeping us updated.

Your mom was beaming with joy when we went to school today! She had just seen you and the baby on Skype; said she's tiny and absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Nicky just wore a great, big smile! So, so happy for you all! Things are fine here; Nicky came over and jumped on the trampoline for a while last evening; he seems so matter of fact about everything and very content. You've done a terrific job of preparing him for this huge event. You're a wonderful mother and I'm thrilled another little one will be blessed by your tenacious love. Can't wait to see pictures!
